This old classic Godzilla, before An alien race takes control of all the monsters in the world and the monster destoroyah. This is were Godzilla is the destructive force that is terrorizing Japan. Like a lot of Godzilla films this one had a message that reflected it's time, in this case the message was the dangers of nuclear testing. Now in regards film technique it isn't that bad by 1950 standards they did the best they could with what they had and most important of all it looks like they had fun with it. It's hard to cretic a film were the best way to view it, is to turn your brain off. And enjoy a part of cinema history. I say if you haven't seen a Godzilla film I recommend most of them and this one is part of that glorious stack
8/10.

children of men
OK plot summery: this film takes place in a world for undiscerned reasons the human race has become infertile and Britain is the only place the only place that has any semblance of social order. a former activist agrees to help a group of terrorists transport a pregnant woman to an project to solve the infertility of the human race.
thoughts: the atmosphere the the film gives off is almost colourless lake of passion, like the movie is trying to say that without children in the world there is no drive to society. the camera a lot of the time was done over the shoulder so when something happened the camera would shake not enough to bather you but enough that you would notice it. a bad thing about it is I found myself bored by it there was never anything that felt impact full, maybe that's just the world they live in and every thing is just sedated. in other words 6/10 not for me good otherwise. children of earth

v for vendetta review
I'll start this bluntly: this movie was good. this my average movie goers opinion I did not read the graphic novel it was based on so I will express my opinion on this movie based on its own grounds not a comparison. on a technical level to my unfettered mind it looked great every thing is toned down more gray and moody. the angles are good capturing what they want to show and hiding what they don't like some of the films subject matter. on that note this film is about a girl whose whole life has had some connection to the corrupted government that came into power and eventually structured its self into a dictatorship. even though the story is called v for vendetta after the man behind the mask. it seams more about her and her interactions with him. now for a Monty python reference. for the rap up though the movie was good on all fronts at the end you feel there is something missing maybe its in the g.novel I don't know but this sort of thing is to be expected when converting something over mediums things are added and subtracted. in the end I give it 8/10 defiantly a watch but some follies here and there. ghost in a mask.
